Exhibition Opening 9/6- EXQUISITE CORPSE
Exquisite Corpse is a collaborative video-based installation curated by Abygai Peña and Jay Reinier that extends the Surrealist technique of the Exquisite Corpse to celebrate the queer body. Artists have submitted silent excerpts and original pieces of 1-3 minutes in duration inspired by parts of the body (eyes, mouth, hair, shoulders/arms, hands, chest, belly, back, butt, genitals, legs, feet), interpreting that body part through their own aesthetic lens. In addition, the space will be activated through sound artists performing in dialogue with the silent video pieces during select events, including the opening & closing of the exhibition.
